Adam's Quilt

Adam's birthday came and went this weekend. I worked my little fingers to the bone stealing every moment I could to finish his quilt. I would start sewing, get in a groove only to be interrupted. Oh, well at least I'm needed.

This was a difficult project for me and it shows in the stitching and piecing. Normally, I love sewing when life is crazy. I found myself with a hunger to sew but unable to sew in this type of crazy. I'd rather run down the block screaming. But I finished this lime green and purple beast of a quilt and he likes it. That's all that matters.

Here is the pieced quilt top.

Here is the layout for the back with the signature blocks we collected on my new design wall.  What on earth did I do without one before?  Oh, I know, I arranged things differently.

Here is the top all quilted and bound.

Here is the final version of the back.

The first thing Adam did after I gave him the quilt was lay it out on the floor and read every single block.  Then he said, how cool!

Now I'm lost in 'what's next' land while I catch up on bee member's blocks.

Sigh! Peace out everyone.
